Cooling it all down Part 1 - breakfasts, breads, snacks and sweets

These recipes are specific for cooling and calming down an aggravated Pitta dosa. They are specifically tailored to support the lifestyle and diet changes referred to in the post Cooling it all down – Ayurvedic practices and diet for heat, anger and irritability – read here.

Before we look at the recipes, a little retro craic. When I was in my twenties I could do a yoga class wait a couple of months do another yoga class and not even blink an eye - no stiffness, no aches and pains. Certainly not the case in my forties.

Now one of the things I need more of is cardio and this got me thinking about when I first did an aerobics class. I was fourteen and I had just discovered my Mum’s Jane Fonda tapes. I think back wistfully to the times when I could do the three sessions, beginner, intermediate and advanced levels after school with the ease and flexibility that is lost on the youth and certainly not available to me now. 

I recently had cause to download some classes to bring with me on a trip to somewhere where the WiFi isn’t the best. I came across this exercise video of Jane at her finest and it reminded of how good those old school aerobics classes are. So I’m sharing it with you now to enjoy.
